ABOUT THE FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR PROGRAM
Fulbright scholarships for teaching and research activities enable Bulgarian scientists and university professors to work in their specialty for 3 to 5 months at prestigious universities and scientific institutes in the USA. Grants are awarded in all fields of study except clinical medicine and dentistry. 5-7 scholarships are awarded each year.
Candidates are selected through an annual competition, which is announced in the last month of the calendar year. The deadline for submitting documents is the beginning of December. The interviews with the candidates admitted to the second round are held in the second half of December, and each of them is notified of the date and time of the interview.
Application deadline for the 2024-25 academic year: December 5, 2023.
The dates of the interviews are fixed and there is no possibility of additional dates.
