The Centers of Excellence are part of the European Initiative for Excellence and complement the science-oriented schemes Teaming, Twinning, ERA Chairs and the European Initiative for Excellence for Universities through a special innovation component. The Centers of Excellence will focus on innovation, enabling innovation ecosystems in expanding countries and beyond to come together and create better connections between academia, business, government and society. This will promote innovation and entrepreneurial culture in Widening countries based on a strategic agenda aligned with regional or national strategies for smart specialization. In this context, synergies will be sought with the program parts on European Innovation Ecosystems and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
The deadline for submitting projects is March 7, 2024.
