On February 19, 2026, an Intellectual Property Seminar for Startups will be held at Sofia Hotel Balkan, organized by the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, jointly with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The seminar aims to raise awareness of intellectual property as a strategic business resource for startups and SMEs, as well as to present to the audience some of the ways to use it effectively.
Experts from WIPO and the Patent Office will present two practical tools suitable for the target group: the “Intellectual Property Guide for Startups”, as well as an online demonstration of the WIPO IP Diagnostics Tool, designed to assist SMEs in assessing and protecting their intangible assets.
Within the framework of the program, representatives of successful startups will share practical casestudies and examples from real business practice. Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge on the identification, protection and strategic management of IP, and new initiatives in support of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Individual sessions for IP diagnostics are also planned for pre-selected startups from the registered participants.
The seminar program can be downloaded HERE.
To participate in the seminar, registration is required (HERE), no later than February 10, 2026. Due to limited capacity, registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
