The Braille display invention consists of a grid (11) with openings and, placed underneath it on a base (10), a matrix of electromagnets (1) consisting of an outer cylindrical magnetic conductor (2), a magnetic conductor (3a) with a coil (3) on top, and a non-magnetic sleeve (5) movable in the area between the coils, which carries an axially magnetized permanent magnet (6) and a non-magnetic needle (7), with flat ferromagnetic washers (8) on top and (9) below, and below them a magnetic conductor (4a) with a coil (4), conically bevelled on the inside in the upper part, with a grid (11) placed above the electromagnets (1) with openings through which the needles pass (7) pass through. The Braille display is used to create an auxiliary text/graphical computer interface for people with visual impairments.
