Abstract

The contactless device for displacement contains two identical permanent magnets (1 ) and (2) connected by their respective poles. In close proximity to them there is a transmission (3) in the form of a tube of thin-walled non-magnetic material, which is compactly filled with balls (4) of magnetically soft material with the same diameter as the tube (3). On the other side of the tubular transmission (3) opposite the connecting plane of the magnets (1 ) and (2) is located a semiconductor magnetic sensitive sensor (5). The input (6) of the sensor (5) is connected to a current source (7), and the output (8) of the sensor (5) is an output of the device. When moving the tube (3) with the balls (4) relative to the stationary sensor (5), the measured linear displacement is determined by the number of maximum and minimum in the periodic series of the output signal (8), and the measuring range is determined by the length of the tube (3).
