Abstract
The method for obtaining silicon carbide coatings on iron powder metallurgy products is carried out by covering the pressed powder metallurgy products with fine silicon carbide powder, after which they are sintered at a temperature of 900 to 1250 degrees C. The method will find application in powder metallurgy for surface densification and carbide formation.
