The European Innovation Council (EIC) is organizing an information day for financing high-tech scientific research and innovation in Sofia on the initiative of the Minister of Innovation and Growth, Milena Stoycheva. The European Commissioner for Innovation, Scientific Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova and the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov will participate in the event. The information day will be held on January 29, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The aim is for experts from the European Innovation Council to present the different directions of the Horizon Europe program and to explain the possibilities for supporting innovators and researchers in deep technologies. Companies will be provided with practical information on how to make their applications successful. In addition, the participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of the beneficiaries of ESI – Accelerator and Pathfinder.
The European Innovation Council is the European Commission’s largest initiative to support innovation throughout the life cycle from early-stage research to proof of concept, technology transfer, funding and scale-up for start-ups and SMEs. Through its three instruments – Pathfinder, Transition and Accelerator, the Council provides funding to scientific organisations, start-ups and SMEs in the form of grants and equity participation/investments of up to €17.5 million per start-up beneficiary. The organization has a budget of 10.1 billion euro for the period 2021-2027.
